I find endless inspiration in the sandhill cranes who winter along the banks of the Rio Grande here in New Mexico.  Their graceful descent onto the river at sunset is a breathtaking sight, marking their return home for the night.

This painting reflects my love for these magnificent birds, the river I cherish walking along, the cottonwood trees that line its banks, and the stunning New Mexico sunsets.
