During my Earth Pilgrimage and ancestral discovery trip to Scotland a few years ago, I came across this beautiful tree while taking a short hike in the Berks of Aberfeldy.

I fell in love with it instantly, retuning the next day to spend a few hours painting it. Unlike my studio tree paintings, when out in nature I always attempt to recreate the reality seen by my eyes.
