During a visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, I was inspired by a beautiful Minoan coffin carved all over with the Minoan Tree of Life and other symbols. It reminded me of how our ancient ancestors understood and honored the ongoing cycle of life, death and rebirth.

This abstract, grid painting is the result of that inspiration. It serves as a reminder that though death comes to us all, life goes on.
