My painting, The Spirit Tree, with its placement within a series of ever-larger squares, illustrates the belief that the physical universe originates in consciousness. The sacred geometry principle of gnomic expansion, or growth by accumulative increase, has been used throughout history to represent the unfoldment of space/time.
One of the oldest expressions of this concept comes from the Egyptian Creation myth
I am One that Transforms into Two.
I am Two that transforms into Four.
I am Four that transforms into Eight.
After This, I am One again.
